Compressor Container
Opening the outer container doors leads into a large workshop area for repairing dive gear, hanging wet dive suits, storing tools & divers gear and dressing in/out divers. A wall and door which leads into the compressor room isolate this area. Operating the compressor is normally done with this door closed so ear protection is not needed in the work area. The compressor room has storage for divers, spare compressor parts, area for drying dive groves, hat liners, hat communication modules and wall hooks for dive underwear. The container consists of the following components and safety items:
Compressor Room
- 24 foot ex-Matson Transportation insulated shipping container
- Aqua-Air Industries AAI Model 5120D Compressor. Two Stage – Four Cylinder Quincy 5120 compressor delivering 88.5 cut free air @ 200 pi. (1999)
- Duetz Four Cycle – Four Cylinder diesel engine delivering 44.25-brake horsepower with electric start with approx. 360hrs. (1999)
- Compressor is current with all required air test sampling (done 07/02/02 & every previous 6 months)
- 60 gal ASME approved with relief valve volume tank
- 20 gal diesel fuel tank
- Heavy duty stainless steel flex hose
- AAI Model 1250 three stage air filter
- Four fitting air manifold
- Outside air source for both the compressor and engine via flexible intake hoses
- Stainless steel high temp wall thimble for engine exhaust pipe/stack
- Engine heat shroud with outside vent
- Halon fire suppression system
- 12 volt smoke and carbon monoxide detector
- 2 large ventilation fans (one temperature activated)
- 2 large wall louvers

- 100-foot deck whip for connecting both containers
